Cycle Hubs

The National Cycling Network is being developed throughout Ireland. A number of cycle towns are located across the county. Each hub has a number of looped cycle routes consisting of day and half day cycles.  Discover the Shannon Region's Cycle Hubs of Nenagh in the scenic North Tipperary and the wonderful Doolin in County Clare.

Nenagh Cycle Hub

The North Tipperary Cycle Network, with the town of Nenagh as its hub offers three routes varying in distance from 11km to 67km with numerous shorter alternatives. Each cycle offers pleasant views of the local countryside while loops 1 and 2 provide stunning lakeshore panoramas. Numerous picnic stops are dotted along the route as well as a number of award winning pubs and restaurants.

Doolin Cycle Hub

The North Clare Cycle Network, with the town of Doolin – centre of traditional Irish Music in Clare – as its hub, offers four new cycle routes varying in distance from 18km to 47km with numerous shorter alternatives. Each cycle offers wonderful views of the local countryside with stunning coastal panoramas. There are numerous stop-off points along with the routes with excellent restaurants, pubs and other facilities and services.

Kilmallock Cycle Hub

Kilmallock Cycle Hub routes will guide you out to the countryside of farmland and forest surrounding the historic walled town of Kilmallock. Following the relocation of the 7th century monastery dedicated to Saint Mo Cheallóg, the town of Kilmallock has propspered on its riverside site. From this important centre follow the routes established since medieval times into surrouding countryside. You will find magnificent views of the Ballyhoura and Galty Mountians all along the way, as well as ancient sites peserved in an unspoilt landscape.
