Kilkee Scuba Diving Trails

Kilkee, a popular tourist resort in Ireland, is situated in County Clare on the West Coast of Ireland. Across the broad expense of the Atlantic Ocean comes the west wind, warmed by the Gulf Stream. The former gives the resort its bracing, healthy character, the latter its mild and equable climate.

The resort itself has been developed along a semi-circular strand, nearly one mile in length, with a good stretch of sands between the promenade and the sea. Situated on the extreme westerly seaboard, it is easily accessible by road and air.

Kilkee is located 48km from Shannon Airport, and there are bus services linking Kilkee with all important cities and towns of Ireland and roads connect Kilkee with Ennis (56km), Limerick (92km), Galway (123km), Cork (193km) and Dublin (290km).

For more information see Kilkee.ie - the official website of the seaside resort town.

Kilkee Diving and Watersports Centre

The Kilkee Diving & Watersports Centre is a fully equipped diving centre with facilities for novices and experts alike. In 1999, the centre became the first dive school to be recognised by the Irish Underwater Council (CFT) Training Course.

It is possible to dive all year around although the best months are April to October with depths from 32 ft (10m) to 147ft (45m) found around the coast. The crystal clear waters of the bay have a Europe-wide reputation for the variety of dives and the diversity of marine life.

The centre is located on the seafront. Snorkelling, sailing and board-sailing are also available with instruction.
