Cabs and Taxis

There are metered cabs/taxis available at various locations such as railway stations, ports, airports and taxi ranks in main cities and some towns throughout the Shannon Region.

Elsewhere it is possible to book hackney cabs where fares are agreed by arrangement with the driver in advance. In the Shannon Region your accommodation provider or Tourist Information Centres will gladly phone a taxi for you.

For taxis to and from Shannon Airport visit Shannon Airport Taxis. This is the official website for the Shannon Airport cab service and they have an office in the arrivals hall of Shannon Airport. They specialise in airport transfers, meet and greet, and day tours to visitor attractions including Bunratty Castle, pictured below.
