Even those without any horse riding skills are encouraged to have a go, safely under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor.

‘An Sibin’ Riding Centre specialises in ‘post-to-post’ trail riding along the ‘Galway-Clare-Burren’ Trail which stretches 150kms across some of Ireland’s most beautiful scenery, from the Slieve Aughty Mountains in Co. Galway, along the shores of Lough Derg, through the ‘Burren’ in north Clare and finishes overlooking the majestic Cliffs of Moher. A post-to-post trail follows a different route each day using especially selected overnight accommodation en route in farmhouses and B&Bs which may be either a week-long or 3-day trail rides. All luggage is transferred during the trail ride allowing the riders to enjoy this particular type of equestrian holiday. Airport transfers to/from Shannon Airport are also available.

Set in attractive, peaceful rural farming countryside, yet within easy access to Shannon Airport, this residential riding centre combines riding tuition with Farmhouse and Self Catering accommodation to form an intimate environment that offers a complete, personalised riding holiday package. Beginners are given personalised tuition in the arena and all other riders are taken out onto the land for any further tuition which lends itself to a more relaxed teaching environment.

Mountain View Horse Riding Centre is a newly established facility in the heart of the Burren which enables you to enjoy panoramic views of Galway Bay, the Burren and Cliffs of Moher on horseback. The owner, Peter, who is a native of Poulnagun, has over 20 years experience working with horses and with his ideal location has access to extremely safe and certified Burren walking routes which make for some of the bext horse trails in the west. Mountain View caters for all capabilities, from the beginner to advanced ride and provides all equipment necessary. There are a number of different trails available, ranging from short one hour trek to three and four hour treks across Slieve Elva and into the hear of the Burren. Speciality sunrise and sunset trails are also catered for on request, advance booking is advised.

Located in the wooded parklands of Ballyhannon House, only 20 minutes from Shannon Airport, just off the Limerick / Ennis N18 route in the direction of Quin and owned by the Hassett family who have a proud tradition and long association with horses. Hillcrest Riding Centre is located in a beautiful setting with the Galtee Mountains and the Glen of Aherlow on one side and the Ballyhoura Mountains on the other. The centre offers week-long ‘Post to Post’ trail riding with accommodation arranged in selected approved accommodation. The centre offers numerous Summer Camps for both Adults and Children alike. English Language Courses are given by two TEFL qualified teachers as part of a Riding Holiday Package. A challenging Cross-Country course which covers over 100 man-made and natural fences is also available on site.
Owned by Marie and John Burke, the centre is situated on 70 acres of unspoilt countryside making it an ideal trekking centre. Intensive 3-5 day Show Jumping Clinics are available for the more experienced riders using competition standard horses. Individual itineraries can be tailored to include a 7 nights / 6 days Connemara Sea Shore Trail Ride and an excellent cross country course. Galway-Clare-Burren Trail is a six-day, seven-night post to post trail. Starting at the River Shannon, it introduces the rider to rural Ireland with a wide variety of landscapes from bog, forest, national parks, rivers, lakes and the world famous Burren region. The trail finishes overlooking the Cliffs of Moher and Atlantic Ocean at Doolin.
