The Lough Derg Yacht Club in Dromineer, near Nenagh, Co Tipperary is famous all over the world in sailing circles, being home to the third oldest yacht club in the world. Lough Derg Yacht Club was founded there in 1835 and has played a central role in promoting the sport all over the lake down through the years.

Shannon Sailing 

Shannon Sailing located in Dromineer Co Tipperary on the shores Lough Derg is a integrated marina facility catering for all elements of sailing including tuition, boat hire, cruises, maintenance and Summer camps. University of Limerick Activity Centre

The University Of Limerick Activity Centre (ULAC), located at Two Mile Gate just two miles from the picturesque twin villages of Killaloe/Ballina on the R463, also offers great facilities and has a fine sailing tradition catering for visitors.  The centre offers excellent tuition for all levels of sailing and has modern and well equipped facilities.
